During my stay at The Secret Garden Relais, I was enchanted by the historic charm of the property, surrounded by beautifully maintained gardens and fruit trees. The host provided excellent service, helping us with local recommendations, and the breakfast on the terrace was a delightful start to each day.

Stairs can be challenging.

Clean room with decent space, daily housekeeping provided fresh towels every day. Beautiful grounds with picturesque gardens surrounding the property.

A couple of minor maintenance issues in the bathroom needed attention, like a loose toilet seat and a non-functional overhead shower. The soundproofing between rooms was quite poor, contributing to some intrusiveness from neighbors, and the location was tucked away off the main road, making it feel a bit unsafe at night, especially for solo travelers.

All fine, but noise issues

Positive, The location is fine, surrounded by beautiful trees and gardens. The spacious room was excellent, and the breakfast was delicious, with omelets and croissants. The staff were super friendly and went out of their way to. We loved the rooftop terrace for breakfast! 🌅

the view from the terrace was fabulous, and it was just a five-minute leisurely walk to the train station, making it easy to explore nearby Sorrento and its beautiful attractions like the stunning Chiesa e Convento dei Cappuccini just over a kilometer away.

The hotel is perfectly located just a few minutes from the train station, making it super easy for family day trips to Sorrento and beyond. The outdoor breakfast on the terrace was such a treat for us with the beautiful ocean views – a great start to our day!

My kids wished there was an elevator to avoid all the stairs.

Breakfast was amazing, with homemade jam and an omelette that perfectly suited our tastes, and the lush gardens made our stay feel like a scene out of a movie. We loved relaxing on the sun terrace and taking in the beautiful greenery all around us. Just a heads up, there isn’t much nearby for food, so it’s best to grab some in Sorrento before heading back! 🌿

Despite these drawbacks, the spaciousness of the communal areas and the welcoming staff make for an inviting stay.

Our stay in the Standard Double Room was quite comfy and clean. The fruit trees around added a lovely touch to the ambiance, and the room had beautiful views of the garden. Gennaro kept everything well-maintained. However, the property is located on the second floor, which might be a bit of a hassle if you're not a fan of stairs.

It was just a balanced option for a concise stay in Piano di Sorrento with good value considering price it charged. I particularly enjoyed the fresh orange juice and homemade peach jam at breakfast, which were fantastic. Make sure to check the train schedule if planning to go out at night.

i had an amazing 3 nights at secret garden relais! the outdoor terrace was perfect for breakfast with stunning views. the swimming pool with sun terrace was a great way to relax. the host and his family were so helpful throughout my stay, making me feel right at home!
